IV. Eligibility Conditions for Discounts :

  a.

For companies (Startups) which have signed Incubation cum Shareholding Agreement and MOTION CoE (STPINEXT) has an Equity stake in them, will get free access to the above amenities during the graduation period as defined in the Agreement.

  b.

Once a company (Startup) completes its Graduation period, then it can claim discounts for above amenities based upon the number of seats rented by the company at MIDC, Bhosari, STPI Pune. All such companies (Startups) must also meet the mandatory criteria that MOTION CoE (STPINEXT) holds Equity in them:

b.1.

The Startup must rent seats for a minimum period of 3 months, encompassing the date of access request, for the above formula to be applicable.

b.2.

The applicable discount is available to a maximum number of 25 hours in any calendar month (Jan, Feb, March etc.)

b.3.

For companies that don't have any enquiry investment (INCE) from MOTION CoE (STPINEXT), the applicable discounts are given in Table #IV. Other conditions given in (b.1) and (b.2) also apply :

Companies are prohibited from using the conference rooms for commercial activities (like running paid training programs) unless they have an explicit permission and revenue sharing arrangement with MOTION CoE/STPI Pune.

V. Application Process :

VI. General Terms and Conditions :

1. Any discounts to the above tariffs that may be requested by Startups/ Business entities will undergo a review and approval process by the respective committee.
2. Consumables:

a.   The cost of all consumables has to be borne by the applicant company/Startup
b.   The MOTION CoE will verify that the consumables used are within the permissible criteria and meets the specification and compatibility requirements of individual equipment.

3. Lab Access and Booking Process

a.   Eligibility: The labs are open to startups, academic institutions, research organizations, and corporates working in the automotive, EV, autonomous, and mobility sectors.

b.   Booking: All bookings must be made at least 5 business days in advance, subject to availability. Full payment must be made before the commencement of lab use.

c.   Access Times: Labs will be accessible between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Any extension beyond these hours must be pre-approved and may incur additional charges.

4. Safety and Compliance

a.   Safety Induction: All personnel intending to work in the labs must undergo a mandatory safety induction. This includes orientation on equipment use, emergency procedures, and lab rules.

b.  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Users must wear appropriate PPE (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, and lab coats) as per the nature of their work. Failure to comply with PPE requirements may lead to termination of lab access.

c.   Hazardous Materials: Users must inform the lab manager before bringing any hazardous materials or chemicals. All hazardous materials must be handled and disposed of in compliance with local regulations.

d.   Equipment Use: Users are responsible for using the lab equipment safely. Any damage to equipment due to negligence or misuse will be charged to the entity responsible.

5. Liability

a.   Liability Waiver: All entities must sign a liability waiver before accessing the labs. STPI-MOTION CoE shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage incurred while using the facilities. Each entity is solely responsible for arranging and maintaining adequate insurance or other protection to cover its own risks and liabilities. STPI-MOTION CoE has no obligation to verify such coverage. Completion of all such formalities shall rest entirely with the entity.

b.   Equipment Damage: In case of any equipment malfunction or damage, the user must immediately report it to the lab manager. The entity responsible, will be liable for repair or replacement costs if found at fault.

6. Fair Usage Policy

a.   Lab Usage: Companies are prohibited from using the Lab Facilities for commercial activities (like running paid training programs) unless they have an explicit permission and revenue sharing arrangement with MOTION CoE/STPI Pune.

b.   Lab Equipment: Lab equipment must be used as per the defined operational guidelines. Any specialized equipment requiring certifications must only be operated by qualified personnel. If unsure about equipment handling, consult with the lab manager.

c.   Data Security: Users are responsible for the security of their data and any intellectual property generated while using the labs. The Incubation Center does not assume responsibility for any data loss or breach.

d.   Workspace Cleanliness: Users must maintain a clean and organized workspace. All waste should be disposed of properly, and tools must be returned to their designated storage after use.

e.   Equipment Sharing: To ensure equitable access, users are expected to share lab resources fairly. Hogging equipment or using it for non-productive purposes is not permitted.

7. Intellectual Property (IP)

a.   Ownership of IP: Any intellectual property developed during the use of the labs remains the property of the entity that created it. However, all users are expected to respect the confidentiality and IP rights of others.

b.   Confidentiality: Users must not disclose any proprietary information or data of other entities working in the lab. The Incubation Center reserves the right to expel any user found violating confidentiality agreements.

8. Security and Monitoring

a.   Identification: All personnel must always wear their ID badges while inside the lab premises. Visitors are not allowed unless approved by the lab manager in advance.

b.   CCTV Surveillance: The labs are under continuous CCTV monitoring for safety and security purposes. By entering the labs, users consent to this monitoring.

c.   Access Control: Lab access will be granted only to individuals registered with the Incubation Centre. Unauthorized personnel will not be allowed to use the facilities.

9. Emergency Protocols

a.   Emergency Exits: Users must familiarize themselves with emergency exits and procedures. Fire extinguishers and first-aid kits are located throughout the labs.

b.   Incident Reporting: Any accidents, near-misses, or safety incidents must be reported immediately to the lab manager. Failure to report incidents may result in penalties.

10. Cancellation and Refund Policy

a.   Cancellation: Bookings can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance without penalty. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled lab use will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

b.   Refunds: No refunds will be provided for unused time if a user decides to leave early.

11. Dispute Resolution

a.   Mediation: Any disputes arising from the use of the labs will be resolved through mediation. If mediation fails, the dispute will be referred to arbitration as per STPI guidelines.

12. General Conduct

a.   Professional Behaviour: Users are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate expulsion.

a.   MOTION CoE Authority: The Chief Operating Officer of MOTION CoE reserves the right to terminate lab access at any time if users violate these guidelines.
